Ramblings and Ravings For May 10, 2002

Finally, I got a case of beer tonite. You know I'm trying my best to rip through it.

I'm so happy tonite, not because of the beer, but because I have so many of my dearest friends around, again.

Matt, www.fattandmike.8m.com , is home again and I am proud to say that he is doing well. The early line on his grades from Penn State are 4 B's and a C. That is not too shabby, being that when i was his age the best I did was a B, 2 C's, and 2 D's. They all still pass and I have seen numb-nuts with a 1.8 GPA get a $31k job out the box.

Matt has a year left and I trust you that he is better off knowing me than he was before. He was on the verge of quitting school at one point. I don't want to take credit for his turnaround, but I like to think that I helped him.

The Mike in the website is sincerely one of the most well-thought out young men that i have ever known. He's very intelligent but maybe a little too analytical for his own good. He needs to loosen up and understand that the joy of life comes to those in an individual way. There is no set plan that makes one happy; hence the saying, "To each his own."

He is very close to graduating and I am sure that he will do well despite his philosophy major!

I got stood up last Saturday.

My girl, Jess, has been talking for like two years that she knows horses. The Kentucky Derby came up and she was MIA! Am hearing that she feels a little strange to be around me, someone who is 12 years her senior. If you saw that "Ed" episode you got toknow that while the doctor's wife was just chatting with a young man on-line, she had no clue of his age, she just knew that they shared common interests, age, when you think about it, is just a number.

I'm 32 years-old and have been relating well to a 20 year-old for the past two years over IM. We have related well in person on dozens of occasions. I guess it is wrong to have a friend who was alive when Watergate was going on as opposed to being tested on it in US History.

Such a shame, cause i consider her one of my best friends in the world. Maybe, once she turns 21, we'll have more in common.

The one thing that I want from these kids is to be able to stand up and be proud at 25.

As far as I know, I have the nicest house. I have the most equity. I've been there...done that!

I just want them to be better than me...because I love them, all.
